Do you find yourself in a constant rut of wearing the same go-to outfit every time you venture out? When you arrive, you look around and feel self-conscious – too drab like you don’t fit in with your¬ surrounds. If you want to but don’t know how to take that first step it’s totally okay, we’ve all been there and you’re in the just right spot because I can help you! It’s time for you to up the ante with a boost of confidence.

"Before we even start talking about the wardrobe and some ideas to up the ante, let’s talk about YOU."

Have you found your style? Can you identify pieces that do and don’t like to wear? Have you ever taken the time to flick through a magazine or scroll through Pinterest to find some images of styles you like?

If you’ve answered 'no' to one or all of these questions try this, pick someone who you admire. Someone who, when you see them whether in person or online, you think I really like how they look, they look confident and they’re rocking that outfit! What is it about their style that you like? Is it the palette they’ve chosen or is it the accessories? Try to identify what it is you particularly like about their ‘look’.

For me, I recall admiring a very close friend some years ago and just loving her ‘look’. What I identified is that I loved her use of bold accessories and after identifying this I started integrating bold accessories into my looks.

"By finding new, different, or even bolder pieces to integrate into your wardrobe, you can build up your confidence."

For me personally, it’s about building your wardrobe with things that you feel good in. Feeling good in something will bring you more confidence, and the more confidence you have the more you’ll find yourself integrating statement pieces into your wardrobe. One of the first things I stepped out of my comfort zone with was wearing a statement earring. I absolutely fell in love with Mickelloo’s feather earrings (hand-made by a gorgeous designer Nicky White from Clare, South Australia) and started wearing those with outfits, I felt great and people started noticing.

Today, I have no hesitation in stepping out in bold prints and statement pieces, all because my confidence has grown and I’m comfortable with my personal style. Over time this could be you if you’re ready to up the ante!
